Applications Are Now Available
Our application is now available. Please note that there are changes to the application this year, so please read the application carefully. Here is a preview of the changes in the application:
1. The application deadline is November 22, 2020. Late applications will not be accepted. 2. Applications with incorrect phone numbers and emails, will be rejected. 3. You may only apply to one organization helping children in Tompkins County, NY. Your application will not be accepted, if a second application is found. 4. We will only deliver to homes with adults present. We will not deliver and put your toys outback, or give them to children with no adults home. No exceptions will be made. 5. We will have pick-up locations in Newfield, Dryden, Groton, Trumansburg, Caroline, and our toy room at Triphammer Marketplace. 6. We have not been able to fund raise like we normally would and we have to cut back on what is spent this year so that we can keep the program going in years to come. There will be no sporting event tickets from Cornell, no movie tickets for the older kids, and likely fewer gifts all around. 7. Incomplete applications are not accepted. Please complete your application when you begin it, so that you don't forget or think you turned an application in. Please read the application carefully. Thank you Home Depot!

Motorcycle Ride Info.
We are disappointed to announce that there will be no Motorcycle Ride Fundraiser this year. With the social distancing needed and with so many unknowns we decided that it isn't in the cards for this year. We do hope that you will come to one of the fundraisers we are having at Texas Roadhouse in July, October and November. Tax deductible donations can also be mailed to us: Cops, Kids and Toys
836 Hanshaw Rd Ithaca, New York 14850 We hope to have a motorcycle ride next year! We appreciate all of your support! Shopping Local
SHOPPING LOCAL: 2020 has brought many changes. Cops, Kids and Toys is making a significant change and began shopping for gifts for the children of Tompkins County, NY locally in May. We have been working with shops like Alphabet Soup, Cat's Pajamas, and Sunny Days in Ithaca, as well as Klein's Archery in Dryden to get ready for the holiday season of 2020. We have also done shopping at Walpole's Variety in Groton, and have reached out to other local businesses and will be updating the stores we are working with as they become available. Please contact us with ideas that you have for local shops in Tompkins County that would be places where we can shop for the children infant through 18 that we serve. Update 5/23/2020: Avital's Apiaries, Ithaca will be working with us to enable us to give the older girls locally made bath and body products. 5/29/2020: We will be shopping at Sundrees, in Trumansburg. 6/5/2020 We are excited to have the Brain Shoppe, Ithaca partnering with us. 6/8/2020 We are thrilled to be partnering with Jillian's Drawers, Ithaca. 7/11/2020 We shopped at Sundrees in Trumansburg and are excited about the gifts we purchased there. 8/26/2020 Instant Replay Sports in Ithaca has helped us to get sports balls for the children that apply.
We have been asked how people can help with our shopping local movement for our holiday toys. One way is to make purchases from the shops that we have purchased from and donate them to us. Remember we serve children infant to 18 in Tompkins County, NY. Another way is by sending us a donation to: Cops, Kids and Toys, 836 Hanshaw Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850. We truly appreciate the support that we have received from our decision to buy local.
It is with deep sadness that we inform our community that George Sutfin, a founding member of Cops, Kids and Toys, passed away suddenly this week. Our deepest condolences go out to Sandy and their family. He will be missed and we have big shoes to fill, and will always remember his focus on the children of Tompkins County. His obituary can be found here.

In 2019 we served nearly 700 families and more than 1,500 children. We hope we made a difference.
Since the early 1980’s Cops, Kids & Toys has grown. During the early years the volunteers thought that they were going to fall short, but the Tompkins County, New York community has always come through. Cops, Kids & Toys volunteers work throughout the year raising funds. You may have seen them collecting returnable bottles and cans at the Grass Roots Festival or helping at the Cornell Dump & Run Sale. We could never do it without the support of the community. The program continues with that same goal and has been able to help more families in Tompkins County over the years. Applications are taken for toy delivery in the months of October and November. Cops, Kids & Toys delivered to more than 550 families with nearly 1,250 kids. Monetary donations are accepted anytime at any county law enforcement agency or the Tompkins County Probation Department. Checks should be made out to Cops, Kids & Toys, Inc. Monetary donations may also be mailed (See info on Donation page).
