We will post the next time we need volunteers. Our main need is in December and with Dump and Run which starts their work in May.
Volunteers Needed for Dump and Run Sale: Dump and Run is over for 2020. We need volunteers to sort, load, and help with the 2021 sales. Contact Bill Apgar at 607-327-1563 for specific details. VOLUNTEER: Volunteering will be different in 2021. Volunteers must sign up for a time slot prior to showing up. We will turn volunteers away that have not signed up, if we are at our volunteer capacity. Many groups are only permitting their group members to be in attendance for volunteering, and we are marking the calendar when we have reached our limits for packing of the gifts. The toy room will be laid out so that social distancing is possible again this year. Volunteering will begin in full swing in December. We have our calendar for November and December up and we will be updating it as events get added. We are working on creating short volunteering shifts for volunteers to work. Some spots will be taken for a particular group and will not be available to others. We will turn away volunteers who have not signed up prior to showing up, if we are full. We have to adhere to guidelines set forth by the Tompkins County Health Department and by businesses who are sending volunteers. We do not like sending volunteers away, but we also want to ensure that we are able to get toys to the children in 2020. Email here to sign up for a volunteer spot. DONATE Monetary donations are accepted anytime at any county law enforcement agency or the Tompkins County Probation Department, and checks should be made out to Cops, Kids and Toys Inc. Monetary donations may also be mailed to: Cops, Kids and Toys P.O. Box 519 Dryden, New York 13053. Cops, Kids and Toys is entirely self funded and earns the money spent on toys and gifts through various fundraisers throughout the year. We do not receive money from the United Way or any government grants. |
