The application will be available until December 1, 2023. Please get your applications in early. Please complete your application when you sit down, so that you know it has been completed. Remember that Late applications will only be accepted if we have gifts available for children. Pick-up Days are Tuesday, December 12, Wednesday, December 13, and Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 9am until 6pm Tuesday and Thursday and until 7 on Wednesday . Our applications are only for children in Tompkins County, New York. We are sorry that we are unable to help other children in other counties or states.
Applications have changed this year, so please read through the application carefully. Please put your children's interests down and not just toys that they want. We are buying from local stores again this year and are excited about the items we have been able to secure. We have never given video gaming systems, video games, cell phones, or gift cards to stores. We are not purchasing gift cards to the movie theater this year.
We are anticipating having many families this year, so please apply early and on time, if you need help with holiday gifts for your children. Please remember that we can only support applications for the parents or the legal guardians of the children being applied for. We cannot accept applications for grandparents who are not the custodial guardian.
Applications are only being taken online. You can complete your application using smart phones, tablets and computers. Only completed applications will be accepted. If applications have phone numbers and email addresses that do not allow us to contact you with questions, your application will be removed. We will be using email, phone calls and texts to contact applicants and if we don't hear back, we will have to deny the application.
The pick-up locations are at Probation (8-4:30 only if you select this location) and the Shops at Ithaca Mall, in the old Footlocker store that is at the Dicks entrance on the first corner. We have 3 pick-up days to accommodate work schedules of applicants. Remember that Photo IDs are required to be shown to pick up a family's gifts.
If you sign up for Salvation Army, Cornell Elves, Toys for Tots, Trumansburg Area Christmas Assistance program, or any other assistance program, you may not also sign up for Cops, Kids and Toys.
Applications must have working emails and phone numbers, in order for us to contact you to verify your application. Applications with invalid phone and email will result in a termination.
If you move, please notify us. If you move out of Tompkins County, we are unable to help you and your application will be terminated. There will be no exceptions to this policy.
For questions you have about the application, you can email info@copskidsandtoys.org or call/text 607-262-4755.
We also have a question/answer section.
